Why we decided to play Fortnite?

Fortnite is a fast-paced, action-packed game that we enjoy playing together as a group—me, Noah, Jacob, Seth, Brix, Girven, Ian, Carl, and Vaughn. The game’s impressive graphics and constantly changing gameplay keep every match exciting and fresh.

During our sessions, we team up, build structures, and plan strategies to try to be the last squad standing. Some matches get intense, and things don’t always go as planned. Occasionally someone may get frustrated or leave early, but we always end up laughing about it afterward.

Winning is great, but the main goal is having fun and spending time together. Every game brings new challenges, from close calls to memorable victories. Even when we lose, we jump right back in and try again.

For us, Fortnite is more than just a game—it’s a way to connect with friends, enjoy friendly competition, and create lasting memories together.

Summary of being with us

Foundations and Transitions (2017–2023)

The group's roots trace back to the Veteran Era, with Jacob starting Fortnite in 2018 and Noah joining in 2021. In 2022, the group focused on the Minecraft Era (Waracons and MTMS SMPs), where Nathan first established himself as a structured builder before being recruited into Fortnite in January 2023. Nathan’s early Fortnite experience was defined by overcoming 30 FPS in game and significant network lag, during which Jacob and Noah acted as his primary coaches.

Technical Mastery and Competitive Peak (2024)

A major turning point occurred in early 2024 during the ExitLag/VPN Era, where Nathan optimized his network connection to reduce ping, allowing him to transition into high-level competitive play. This period saw a collective migration to superior hardware, with Nathan and Seth both moving to Gaming PCs by mid-2024. Nathan eventually surpassed his mentors, reaching elite ranks like Diamond 3 and Master Champion.

The Banana SMP and Recent Developments (2025)

In March 2025, the group launched the Banana SMP, a Minecraft server featuring dedicated survival, PVP, and parkour worlds. However, the server was permanently deleted in June 2025 after Nathan’s parents expressed concerns over electricity usage, leading to a significant emotional setback for the community. During this time, the group also expanded into Mobile Legends and handheld gaming with the purchase of an ROG Ally X.

The Decline and "Void Era" (Late 2025)

By the end of 2025, the community entered the "Void Era," characterized by widespread player inactivity. Core members departed for various reasons: Seth and Noah focused on academics, Girven faced device storage limitations, and Ian moved to Finland. As of the final records, only a small roster—including Nathan, Jacob, Vaughn, and Brix—remains active, maintaining the group's long-standing motto: "Never back down, never give up".

Although he joined the Fortnite group later than his friends in January 2023, Nathan evolved from a "noob" struggling with basic building into a highly skilled competitive player. He eventually reached high competitive tiers like Diamond and Unreal by mastering "triple edits" and becoming a "Pro" and unreal sniper. To overcome technical hurdles, he utilized optimization software like ExitLag to reduce ping and upgraded his hardware to a Gaming PC and a ROG Ally X.

Within the group’s social hierarchy, Nathan has often felt "snubbed" or excluded by veteran players like Jacob and Noah, who teased him for his lack of seniority and frequent internet lag. Despite these challenges and being a frequent target of "GC wars," he remains a resilient leader who famously issued a sincere apology and promised to rebuild the Banana SMP after it was closed due to parental concerns. By late 2025, his technical mastery led his friends to recognize him as one of the strongest players in their group.

In April 2023, he experienced a notable "No Wi-Fi era" after moving into an apartment, which forced him to use cellular data and temporarily limited his ability to play Fortnite. He is a skilled combatant known for his sniping accuracy and high-kill games, though he eventually upgraded to a dedicated gaming PC in late 2024 to overcome persistent lag and freezing issues.

Jacob’s personality within the group is marked by a "try-hard" intensity that occasionally leads to social friction. He once rage-quit a session after Noah and Nathan purchased the same 500 V-Buck skin he wanted as his signature "main" look, claiming he was "first" and they were stealing his unique identity. He has also been known to snub or reject join requests from friends he perceived as "boring" or "noob" players, preferring to focus on private 1v1s to maintain his mechanical edge.

He was remained listed as inactive throughout the group's subsequent gaming eras.

Seth's technical journey involved several platform shifts, starting on an iPad before moving to Xbox and eventually migrating to PC in June 2024. In gameplay, he was frequently advised by Nathan to use high fire-rate weapons like the Combat Shotgun and Maven Auto Shotgun to stay competitive, though he was also famously associated with the Cobra DMR. Despite his skill, which included achieving a 3-game winstreak in early 2023, he often faced high ping and slow loading times that Nathan jokingly said would take "300,000 years" to finish.

His participation was often limited by parental restrictions and academic commitments, leading to several high-profile "last day" streams and temporary departures. Known for his boisterous "Hahuhahahah" laugh, Seth eventually became officially inactive on September 16, 2024, following his move to PC. This final departure was driven by his focus on academic competitions in spelling and General Information, and he has remained inactive throughout the group's more recent gaming eras.

Girven’s activity within the group eventually shifted toward the Banana SMP Minecraft server, where she was deeply invested in building a farm near a windmill. However, she became officially inactive in June 2025, primarily because Fortnite's large file size left her with only 2.2 GB of storage on her device.
